The April 1st deadline for completion of requirements to qualify for the 2015-16 RI Presidential Citation is rapidly approaching.  As all is recorded on Rotary Club Central, it is easy to see that many clubs are closing in on meeting the requirements.

The On-Line Tool adaption area is one that seems to be giving many clubs problems.  All club members can help achieve the citation with a few simple activities.

Of the several options, the three easiest to complete are "50% of Club members logging into My Rotary",  the "Create or Contribute to a Rotary Ideas project" and have at least two Rotarians "Join and Contribute to a Rotary Discussion Group".

The first one is very easy.   Rotarians need to go to the main Rotary International Website Rotary.org and log in to MyRotary.  If you have not been there before, "Register" for an account using your Email address and Last name.  It's that easy. When 50% or more of club members have done this, the club gets a credit towards the Presidential Citation.

For the second option, Ron Zwaagstra, President of the Rotary Club of Sackville & Area and I have been working on the Pedaling for Polio project for the entire year.   If you go to the site http://ideas.rotary.org/Project/Profile/cbea5b53-167f-4ce9-a382-41f9b9461fac, log in using your MyRotary login and make a small donation as a club or individual. Individuals will get a charitable receipt from the RI Foundation, Paul Harris Credit, support a worthy cause AND your club will meet one of the requirements for the Presidential Citation.

The third option is equally straightforward.  You need only go to https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/exchange-ideas/groups/district-7820-general-discussion-group , logging into your MyRotary account, Join the Rotary District Discussion Group and post a quick message saying hello (or anything else you'd like to say).  When two members of the club have done that, your Club will have met the requirements for that portion of the Presidential Citation.

You can also post one your projects on the "Rotary Showcase" (link found in the On line Tools Section of MyRotary) and that will add to the requirements.

These are some really simple things you can do to help your club and you are being a Gift to the World at the same time.
