Taking Training in our District to the Next Level.

The District has a new two-part training strategy to help our current and future District’s leaders and clubs be the best they can be.

The first part is the Training for Leaders of Clubs (TLC). Introduced in 2016, TLC replaces the old Mini Conference. Gone is the “talking heads” lecture style of the past – replaced with interactive workshops, focused training and even some games! We are half way through TLC for 2017 and according to the evaluations District 7820 Rotarians love TLC!

Look under UPCOMING EVENTS on rotary7820.com for details of the TLC in your area and to register for Charlottetown (April 8), St. John’s (rescheduled to April 22) and Sydney (April 29) and Happy Valley-Goose Bay (May 6).

The second part is the new Professional Development Day on Thursday, June 1 at the Old Orchard Inn, prior to the District Conference. This replaces the old PETS and SETS day. This day is a high quality Leadership training session lead by a world class facilitator, Crane Stookey as well as District and Rotary International leaders. Attendance is a must for incoming Presidents and Secretaries but any current or future Rotary leader may attend.

If you are an incoming President or Secretary, your registration to attend the Prof Dev Day is Free (it’s already paid by your club and District). For any other Rotarian the cost is $25 (to cover the lunch).  Please note: Anyone who attends the Prof Dev Day must register separately, even if they have already registered for the District Conference. Look under UPCOMING EVENTS on rotary7820.com for details of the event and registration details.
