Friendship Continues: Return Exchange from the Netherlands September 30 to October 9
This fall, Rotary friendship will come full circle as we welcome our exchange partners from the Netherlands for their return visit from September 30 to October 9. Their visit follows our district team’s wonderful exchange to the Netherlands in May, where we experienced the warmth, generosity, and international fellowship that make Rotary exchanges so memorable.
During our May visit, our team had the pleasure of exploring many remarkable sites in Zeeland and beyond. Our itinerary included the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens, a moving visit to the Canadian war cemetery, memorable river boat trips, glider flights, a cheese farm, beach walks, and the iconic Kinderdijk windmills. Each stop offered something special—history, beauty, culture, and a deeper appreciation for the Netherlands and its people.
One of the greatest highlights of the exchange was the hospitality we received from Rotarians who opened their homes to us. Being hosted in private homes gave our team the chance to build genuine friendships, share stories across cultures, and experience daily life in the Netherlands in a personal and meaningful way. We are deeply grateful to these fabulous Rotarians for making us feel so welcome.
Now, as we prepare to host our Dutch friends here in our district, we look forward to returning that same spirit of fellowship and generosity. During their September 30 to October 9 visit, the team will travel through the Valley, Charlottetown, Moncton, and HRM, giving us many opportunities to showcase our communities, share local hospitality, and strengthen the international friendships that began during our time together in the Netherlands.
Rotary exchanges remind us that fellowship is more than a word—it is built through shared meals, open homes, meaningful conversations, and lasting friendships. If you have the opportunity to host, assist with touring, or spend time socializing with our guests, your involvement would help make this return exchange a warm and memorable experience. We are excited to welcome our Dutch visitors and to celebrate another chapter in this special Rotary friendship.
