Chairing the District Leadership Team for the Rotary was year 2024 (Jul-Dec) is Jillian Gibson. Jillian is a member of the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia and was previously a member of the Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest in Newfoundland & Labrador. Prior to that, she was a member of the Rotary Club of East Nassau in the Bahamas.
Along her Rotary journey, she has served as Club President and Club Secretary in two clubs, she enjoys working with The Rotary Foundation and international committees, and is always willing to lend a hand with ClubRunner and Rotary Club Central! She has participated in a Vocational Training Team in Zimbabwe through a Rotary Foundation Global Grant and has endorsed four Rotary Peace Fellows from our district.
In her work life, Jillian is the Director of Philanthropy at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. Holding the biggest part of her heart is her family: her husband (and fellow Rotarian) Mike and their two adult children.
