Ramesh Ferris Bio
RAMESH FERRIS
Ramesh Ferris a polio survivor and Rotarian who resides in Whitehorse, Yukon Canada. Ramesh is a major donor of the Rotary Foundation, and is Rotary District 5370’s District Governor Elect and is a past Rotary End Polio Now Coordinator for Zone 28. He has a Bachelor degree in social work, and is the past president of the Rotary Club of Whitehorse Rendezvous.
Over the past 17 years Ramesh has volunteered in partnership with Rotary International, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Citizen, United Nations Foundation, and the World Health Organization to promote our shared global goal of ending polio.
He has shared Rotary’s End Polio message with countless heads of state, many world leaders, and celebrities around the world.
He has spoken to delegates at the United Nations in New York City and to many Rotarians at various Rotary International Conventions, Zone Institutes and District Conferences around the world.
Ramesh has provided the polio vaccine to children in Karachi Pakistan, Kabul, Afghanistan, and in his birth country of India.
He is the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee award and the Yukon Commissioner’s award for volunteer public service.

Ramesh Ferris est un survivant de la polio et un rotarien qui réside à Whitehorse, au Yukon, au Canada. Ramesh est un donateur majeur de la Fondation Rotary et est le gouverneur élu du district Rotary 5370 et un ancien coordinateur de l'initiative Rotary End Polio Now pour la zone 28. Il est titulaire d'une licence en travail social et est l'ancien président du Rotary Club de Whitehorse Rendezvous.

Il s'est adressé aux délégués des Nations Unies à New York et à de nombreux Rotariens lors de diverses conventions du Rotary International, instituts de zone et conférences de district à travers le monde.
Ramesh a fourni le vaccin contre la polio aux enfants de Karachi au Pakistan, de Kaboul en Afghanistan et dans son pays natal, l’Inde.
Il a reçu le prix du jubilé de diamant de la reine Elizabeth II et le prix du commissaire du Yukon pour le service public bénévole.
