Patrick Longano

 

 

Patrick is a passionate advocate for modernizing and expanding Rotary through innovative club models. As the creator of the Companion Club concept and the founder of the IMPACT model, the most successful Companion Club in Rotary, Patrick has helped clubs worldwide attract and retain members by offering flexible and inclusive options for service. His work has led to Companion Clubs accounting for one-third of all new satellite/companion clubs in North America this year.

Recognized for his expertise in club growth, Patrick has been selected to present at four consecutive Rotary International Conventions—Houston (2022), Melbourne (2023), Singapore (2024), and Calgary (2025). His upcoming session, "Take the First Step: Start Your Own Companion Club," will provide clubs with actionable steps to launch their own Companion model.

As part of his commitment to sustainable club expansion, Patrick proposed the creation of the North American Club Creation Team to Rotary International, an initiative aimed at streamlining and supporting new club development across North America. Rotary accepted his proposal, and he was chosen to co-lead this initiative. This team will work directly with clubs, districts, and all 10 Zones in North America to remove barriers to new club formation, ensuring that Rotary remains accessible and relevant to future generations.

Patrick believes that growing Rotary isn’t just about increasing numbers—it’s about offering choices when people join Rotary and providing options before they leave. He understands that this is vital to ensuring that everyone who wants to serve has a place to do so. This work will continue to shape the future of membership, proving that innovation and impact go hand in hand.

Patrick est un ardent défenseur de la modernisation et de l’expansion du Rotary grâce à des modèles de clubs innovants. Créateur du concept de Club Compagnon et fondateur du modèle IMPACT — le Club Compagnon le plus performant du Rotary — Patrick a aidé des clubs du monde entier à attirer et à fidéliser des membres en offrant des options de service flexibles et inclusives. Cette année, les Clubs Compagnons représentent à eux seuls un tiers de tous les nouveaux clubs satellites/compagnons en Amérique du Nord.

Reconnu pour son expertise en matière de croissance des clubs, Patrick a été sélectionné pour présenter à quatre Conventions internationales consécutives du Rotary : Houston (2022), Melbourne (2023), Singapour (2024) et Calgary (2025). Sa prochaine session, intitulée « Faites le premier pas : lancez votre propre Club Compagnon », offrira aux clubs des étapes concrètes pour créer leur propre modèle Compagnon.

Dans le cadre de son engagement envers une expansion durable des clubs, Patrick a proposé à Rotary International la création de l’Équipe nord-américaine de création de clubs, une initiative visant à faciliter et à soutenir le développement de nouveaux clubs à travers l’Amérique du Nord. Rotary a accepté sa proposition et l’a choisi pour co-diriger cette initiative. Cette équipe travaillera directement avec les clubs, les districts et les 10 Zones nord-américaines pour éliminer les obstacles à la création de nouveaux clubs, assurant ainsi que le Rotary demeure accessible et pertinent pour les générations futures.

Pour Patrick, faire croître le Rotary ne se résume pas à augmenter les effectifs : il s’agit d’offrir des choix au moment de l’adhésion et des options avant qu’un membre ne parte. Il sait que cela est essentiel pour permettre à toute personne souhaitant servir d’avoir une place pour le faire. Ce travail continuera à façonner l’avenir de l’adhésion, démontrant que l’innovation et l’impact vont de pair.
