The Rotary Club of Yarmouth held a very different meeting on November 5th. Instead of meeting and having lunch on Monday at our usual venue we moved our meeting to the Yarmouth County Museum with box lunches to hear Rebecca Caine, Canadian Star of The Phantom of the Opera accompanied on the piano by Robert Kortagard, The performance was arranged in cooperation with Hear! Here!, a music society in Yarmouth dedicated to bringing live performance to the community.

Rebecca Caine is an award-winning international star of opera and musical theatre. The program included songs sung by British leading ladies of the West End Stage - the soprano voice in Musical Theatre to the present day. Highlights include her reprising her favourite roles in Les Misérables and in the acclaimed Canadian production of The Phantom of the Opera.

The program was very much enjoyed and appreciated by Rotarians. The small setting at the Museum made it all the more enjoyable and Rebecca and Robert spoke with Rotarians after the performance.

The box lunch was prepared by Highland Bakers, sandwich, fruit and a drink, and was just right for this event.

Getting out of a usual routine is a nice change and proved to be a most successful Rotary meeting.
