Special Centennial District Grant

SPECIAL CENTENNIAL DISTRICT GRANT
This is a very special year in the Rotary world - The Rotary Foundation is 100 years old and as you know, it represents the financial mainstay of the worldwide Rotary movement.
In order to celebrate this special event, we are now inviting submissions for a one time District Grant of $5,000, to be funded from this year’s available DDF.
If your club and at least one member of your club is District Grant qualified then using the District’s Club Runner website, Initial proposals should be submitted for review by no later than 15th October and the full completed applications must be on the website by 31 October 2016.
Following this, all proposals received will be carefully reviewed and the winning proposal will be selected and announced. As with previous District grant applications, projects may be local or international in scope, but on this occasion we are stipulating that projects must fall under one or more of the Six Areas of Focus which govern Global Grants.
The selected project must be completed within this current Rotary year i.e. by 30th June 2017 and a final report with supporting receipts etc. will be required before 31st July 2017. Preference will be given to projects where a club matches or exceeds the amount of the $5,000.00 grant. A lead club may submit a grant request which is also supported financially by other clubs in District 7820
If your club is not currently qualified to apply for District Grants and has no trained club member, but you want to put forward a project proposal for this special centennial grant project, then please get in touch without delay so the necessary steps can be taken to help you submit your proposal.
