Dear Bob

Your letter arrived safely.

Our District 5370 Conference, with over 350 attendees, was held Oct 28-29, preceded by President Elect Training and a District Assembly on Oct 27, and I am only starting to catch up now.  We had worries for a while as we were switching from a conference in the spring to the autumn and the preceding one was just four months ago, but we brought off a success.

There was an update on the Slave Lake situation by Gloria LeForte, President of the Slave Lake Rotary Club during our evening banquet.

I was able to present your cheque and read your letter at that banquet – the audience was generally overwhelmed by your District’s generosity and Gloria had tears of joy.

Many thanks from all of us!

We postponed our DG visit to Slave Lake until the first week of December which will be the end of our sixty club visits.

We hope you and Karen are enjoying your year as the District Governor Couple; Judy and I are doing fine, but it has been demanding.

Regards to you both.

Harry Buddle
