Rotary Friendship Exchange Update
Posted by Tom McCaughey on Aug 29, 2016
There are many interesting places around the world that we in District 7820 would love to visit and explore. On the other hand, Atlantic Canada is in itself such a beautiful and exciting place to live and so many people around the world want to come and see what we have to offer. Rotary Friendship Exchanges allow us to visit and host lifelong friends that we haven’t met yet.
Groups from 7820 visited New Mexico and New Zealand earlier and now it’s our turn to be hosts later this month. Take the opportunity to get to know them when they visit your area. Make them welcome and learn more about RFE.
- On the 9th, a group from D5520 will arrive and visit PEI, Annapolis Valley, HRM, and Central Newfoundland departing St John’s on the 24th.
- On the 25th, our visitors from D9930 (New Zealand) arrive and visit Lunenburg/Bridgewater, Annapolis Valley, HRM, Cape Breton and St Pierre et Miquelon, departing on October 10th. https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/document/rotary-friendship-exchange-promotional-postcard
There are several future RFE’s in the discussion stages. More information on these will be posted as it is available.
In the meantime, should there be a place in the Rotary world that you would like to visit, let RFE Chair PDG Tom McCaughey know at dgtom7820@gmail.com or 709-682-7259
