Rotary Friendship Exchange April Update

Your Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) committee has been actively working on the three upcoming exchanges this year. All will be inbound at roughly the same time but in separate areas of our district. All areas of our district are expected to be involved in exchanges in 2017
Applications for Outbounders in 2018 will be available shortly for these exchanges. First choices will be given to those Rotarians and partners from the areas that the teams are visiting. Should openings still be available, invitations will be extended on a district wide basis.
Representatives of the committee will be available to visit and explain to members and clubs the benefits of involvement in Friendship Exchanges. Details of exchanges will soon be sent to the clubs that are expected to be involved.
Although not all can directly participate as an outbounder, the hosting, entertaining and touring with Rotarians from other Districts are rewarding and provide wonderful opportunities for fellowship.
- D1420 Finland & Estonia Their inbound team will be here from 9th to 22nd of September and will tour PEI; Northern NS; Cape Breton and HRM
- D6990 South Florida & Grand Bahamas; Will visit from approximately 10th to 24th September 2017 and will be touring Newfoundland but will also join DG Don Sword on his official visit to St. Pierre et Miquelon on 15th Sept.
- D5020 Vancouver Island & Washington State; Inbound early October 2017 (final dates TBD) and will visit HRM; South Shore NS; Yarmouth; Valley
