The Rotary Club of Stratford has issued a challenge to all district clubs to assist in the reconstruction of the library in Lac Megantic Quebec.
The Rotary Club of Stratford, P.E.I. would like to issue a fundraising challenge to all clubs in RI District 7820 to contribute to the reconstruction of the public library in Lac-Megantic, Quebec.
Our club's challenge is that each of the Rotary clubs in District 7820 donate $500.00 to aid in the rebuilding of the library which was devastated by the railroad accident. If all 46 clubs participate something great can come about as a result of this tragedy. We are inspired to follow the fundraising model which created a school in Afghanistan with many contributions making the goal possible.
Upon successful achievement of raising funds from all the clubs in the district in this manner our club hopes to extend this challenge to multi Rotary zones.
We also encourage members of our fellow clubs in District 7820 to consider contributing individually to the Lac-Megantic disaster site.
