Rotarians visit Beinn Breagh
Posted by Gord Hankin

On Sept 27 2011 Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Port Hawkesbury along with invited guests visited the Alexander Graham Bell home in Baddeck, Nova Scotia.
Organized by PDG Pete Smith we met at the Bell Museum and proceeded to
the home better know as Beinn Breagh. We were met by our hosts, Gardiner
and Martin Myers, great-great grandsons of Dr. Bell ( who disliked
being called "Dr." and insisted upon being addressed as "Mr." Bell as
his Doctorate was only honourary).
It was a wonderful 3 hours spent in and around the home and included a visit to the gravesite of the Bell's at the top of the mountain.
Special thanks to Martin ( on left) and Gardiner Myers for the opportunity to experience a wonderful part of our Canadian history.
