Rethinking the Rotary Calendar
At its October meeting , the RI Board of Directors modified Rotary’s calendar of special observances to designate specific months to highlight the Areas of Focus. As a result, Rotary’s special observances are:
January: Vocational Service
February: Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
March: Water and Sanitation
April: Maternal and Child Health
May: Youth Services
June: Rotary Fellowships
July: Start of New Rotary Year
September: Basic Education & Literacy
October: Economic & Community Development
November: The Rotary Foundation
December: Disease Prevention and Treatment
