Replacement Bikes for Sydney School

Some grade five Sydney students at Brookland Elementary gasped with joy when Luke MacDonald and Neil Clarkson arrived at their temporary location at Shipyard Elementary School‎. 

 

Brookland's bottom floor was completely destroyed, as were all the contents during a flood that devastated south end Sydney on Thanksgiving Day. Amongst the items lost were three Spark Brain Bikes, an integral part of the students' and teacher's daily routines. 

 

Luke sprung into action as soon as he heard the bikes were lost. He immediately contacted Run For Life's John Carson who made the surprise happen. Luke recruited Neil and away they went from Halifax to Cape Breton, assembling the bikes at a stop along on the way.  

 

The Brookland students and their teacher are extremely touched by this generosity. It made a difficult situation a lot easier.
