Rotary International has started what it is calling the People of Action Campaign where it is showing Rotarians doing what they have become known for; working together to make our communities better.

With that in mind, we would like to highlight some of the activities of the clubs and Rotarians in District 7820 by profiling our  People Of Action  on the front page of the District Website.  It is our plan to replaced the current top scrolling banner on the website with pictures of our Rotarians in action around the region or around the world.  To do that WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Please send Jim Goit (jbgoit@gmail.com) pictures of your club and members working on projects and we'll include them along with your club and project name in the next generation of the website masthead banner.
Here are a few things to consider to submit a great picture:

  1. Pictures should be of members (and others) doing something (ie, serving food, cleaning a ditch, painting a wall, building stoves, etc, ect).  Grip and grin award or cheque presentations are less desirable.  Our highlight is on the people.
  2. Fun and laughter make the best pictures.
  3. We're looking for Rotary identifiable signs, clothing etc in the picture. If you don't have any, that's fine, but it would be better if at least one Rotary symbol shows up in the picture.
  4. Pictures need to be landscape (ie wider than tall) to be useful for this application and they should be of high quality (at least 1600 pixels wide).
We'll do our best to use as many of  the pictures sent in as possible, however we reserve the right to select only the best and most representative of Rotary in our region.

There is no time limit but we'd hope to have the new banner running by December so we need your pictures!

If you have any questions let me know.   Jim (jbgoit@gmail.com)
