Polio Eradication

2011/12

District 7820, along with the other Rotary Districts; have undertaken a funding drive to help put the last nail in the fight against Polio.  Unless we as Rotarians jointly contribute to put an end finally to this crippling disease we will forever be fighting it.

DG Bob Moffatt has asked us to come through with a donation to the Polio Plus campaign through the Rotary Foundation. We are asking each Rotarian for a semi-annual donation of $20, or $40 for this Rotary year 2011/12.  I will endeavour to keep you all informed on a monthly basis the status of our goal.

We have in our District many dedicated Rotarians who have travelled at their cost to administer the Polio vaccine. Guest speakers are readily available who know the importance of eradicating this disease and its crippling effects.
