One Last Thing

This is my last DG message for the 2015-16 Rotary year and Barbara and I thank everyone for a great experience during my time as District Governor.  We have had some truly outstanding experiences travelling to visit all the Rotary Clubs in District 7820.  It is both humbling and eye opening to see all the great work that Rotarians are doing in our local communities and around the world.

 

Thank you to all those who hosted us in our travels, drove us from meeting to meeting, proudly showed us their community projects, allowed us to celebrate with them and to those who welcomed us into their clubs.  

 

Thank you to the members of the District Team who supported our efforts during the year.  I think we made some great headway on a whole number of fronts and I'm happy that I am leaving the DG position with the District on such a positive upswing.  We have a great team and a great succession path.  I see nothing but good things ahead.

 

Thank you to the members of the Rotary Club of Truro who have been so instrumental in helping to put on a GREAT District Conference but were also there to support Barbara and me in other ways when we needed it. The club is strong and moving forward.

 

The DG experience is unique in Rotary.  It has been my privilege to be your District Governor for 2015-16 and I have been inspired to continue to serve Rotary in any way I can. Thank you again, and continue to be a Gift to the World!
