On A Rotary Friendship Exchange, You’re Never Just A Tourist

Do you want to travel and genuinely experience other cultures guided by new Rotarian friends?  If so, then consider a Rotary Friendship Exchange. Expenses are minimized as participants in an RFE take turns hosting one another, often forging friendships that last a lifetime.
 
The experiences and memories are incredible. Who else has a Roadrunner Award? Ridden dune buggies?  Flown in balloons? … all the while being treated to personal tours of historic and cultural significance that most tourists would never get an opportunity to experience.
 
District 7820 has participated in several exchanges over the years to diverse places such as Australia, Scotland and Brazil as well as districts in the USA. This past year groups of District 7820 Rotarians visited District 9930 New Zealand and District 5520 New Mexico & West Texas. Now it is our turn to host representatives of the districts that were so kind and hospitable to us.
 
  • On September 9th, a group from D5520 will arrive and visit PEI, Annapolis Valley, HRM, and Central Newfoundland departing St John’s on the 24th.   
  • On the 25th, our visitors from D9930 will arrive in Halifax and visit Lunenburg/Bridgewater, Annapolis Valley, HRM, Cape Breton and St Pierre et Miquelon, departing on October 10th.
Consider getting involved with our guests when they visit your area, whether it be as a host, a driver or just a participant in a social or a club visit. Your participation will contribute to their enjoyment of our District.
