Greetings from the beautiful Northumberland Shore! We are thrilled to be able to serve Rotary in the second largest District in the world.

Ten years ago, Rob joined Rotary as a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Whitehorse Midnight Sun in District 5010, which, at the time encompassed Yukon, Alaska and Eastern Russia. Irene joined the club a few years later.

Rob, a retired Professional Forester spent his entire career in British Columbia. Irene started her career as a Social Worker in a remote community on Baffin Island followed by many years in the North as a manager for the Child Development Centre in Whitehorse.

We love to travel and have had many adventures in almost every corner of the globe. We are looking forward to the opportunity of visiting every club in our expansive District in the year ahead. Don’t be surprised to see us camping at a local community park or gravel pit as we will be using our truck and camper for many of the visits.

Speaking of visits, the proposed dates for almost all of the club visits is on the District Home Page under DG Calendar. Check with your Area Governor for any updates or specifics.

We have three objectives for each of the club visits which are:

  1. To get to know club members
  2. To have fun
  3. To leave your community a little bit better than when we arrived.
This is the year for everyone to be INSPIRED  to S H A P E up Rotary!
