He was named Rotarian of the Year by the Club in 2008-2009 and was President in 2011-12, the same year he received his Paul Harris Fellow Award.
Jim has taken on a larger role with Rotary at the District over time. He is a board member of the Atlantic Rotary Leadership Institute as well as a Group Discussion Leader. He is also chair of the District Social Media Committee.
Jim’s wife Barbara is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Truro (1998-99) and a Paul Harris Fellow (2006-07). Jim and Barbara build their home in Valley just east of Bible Hill and have two grown sons who live and work in Ottawa. Jim loves to ride his bicycle and can be found many mornings in the summer on the roads around Colchester County. In the winter months, Jim is on the ski slopes. As a ski instructor he hopes to share his love of skiing with others.
