Field-of-dreams

 

In recognition of their volunteers, Nutrilawn were awarded the "Field Of Dreams Award" by Rotarian Wendy Keen for their amazing help in preparing the community garden in Vasca (Dominican Republic) for planting. In the picture are Jordan Levine and Peter Bugden of Nutrilawn. The Nutrilawn team worked with project member Rotarian Gerry Pierce (Halifax Harbourside) in January 2011 to till the land, plant crops and plant thirty fruit trees. At the end of the week they sponsored a community BBQ cooking over a thousand hot dogs. This unique corporate partnership has strengthened the commitment for the two teams to continue to work together over the life of the project. Nutrilawn hope to return to Vasca again to plough a field of corn. "If you build it they will come".
