At the Kitchen Party during the North Atlantic Rotary District 7815 Conference in Shediac, District Governor Marcel announced that the Rotary Club of Bathurst had been named District Club of the Year.
The club received enthusiastic recognition for its breadth of service and its strong commitment to Rotary’s Action Plan priorities in appreciation of their outstanding work across the district and beyond.
The Rotary Club of Bathurst was recognized for initiatives including:
- A strong Bathurst High School Interact Club supporting seniors, food insecurity efforts, and community service projects
- Major youth engagement through RYLA, Adventures in Citizenship, scholarships, and leadership programming
- Significant community support through food drives, food bank donations, and homelessness outreach
- Environmental and community projects including a Rotary community garden, cleanups, and Peace Pole installation
