10 million mile challenge

United Airlines has announced the airline's third annual 10-million-mile giveaway, benefiting nearly three dozen nonprofits that provide services to people and communities around the world. Individuals can vote online for their favorite of 35 organizations and, by doing so, determine how many "MileagePlus" award miles each nonprofit will receive.

 

>United will give each of the organizations, which include Rotary International, a minimum of 25,000 miles. The airline will award the remainder of the 10 million miles based on the percentage of the total vote count each nonprofit receives.

 

In early voting, Rotary is in second place. Rotarians are asked to help Rotary reach the top by voting once daily at www.10millioncharitymiles.com through December 31. The award miles will be distributed in January, 2014.
