Rotary International has responded to the Syrian and Turkish earthquake disaster.  From now until March 31st, all funds donated to the Rotary Foundation for disaster relief will be directed to this part of the world.  As we did for the Ukrainian War crisis, our district has set up a Raise for Rotary account, to make it easier for Rotarians and their friends and family to donate to this cause.

These funds will be awarded to Rotary Districts in Turkey and Syria through Disaster Relief grants, to cope with the devastation caused by these earthquakes.  As you know, these grants require strict accounting and gathering of receipts for all funds received and spent.   Also, almost 100 percent of the money goes into disaster relief, as Rotary Districts do not charge any fees for overseeing and dispersing the funds.  Being on the ground in the areas of the disasters, the Rotary District know where the funds can be spent to give the most impact.

The Rotary Foundation supported us in 2020 with a Disaster Relief grant to support our food banks during the pandemic.  Now, it is our opportunity to help others in the world suffering from a terrific natural disaster. Please support the Rotary Foundation Disaster Relief program with funds that are guaranteed to support Turkey and Syria relief.  Please give at this important time.
