Rotarians Embrace the Power of Public Image at North Atlantic Conference

At this year’s North Atlantic Rotary Conference, the Public Image breakout drew a particularly enthusiastic crowd. The room was full, the energy was high, and the interest was clear—Rotarians from across the district are eager to strengthen how we tell our Rotary stories!

With just 25 minutes, the session focused less on presentation and more on listening. Kelly Hunt & Tom Paul asked, “What tools do clubs need to better amplify their voice?” The responses were thoughtful, practical, and inspiring.

Topics included the need for hands-on training with social media tools, guidance on running online ads with realistic budgets, and strategies for boosting event promotion and brand awareness. Attendees shared interest in using platforms like Canva Pro and Google Workspace—both of which are free for nonprofits—as well as AI-powered tools and scheduling platforms like Chat GPT and Buffer.

Participants also suggested ideas for storytelling campaigns such as “Humans of Rotary” and “Rotarian of the Month,” and expressed a desire to build photo libraries, explore partnership models, and collaborate across clubs on shared content. The session demonstrated that Public Image isn’t just about promotion—it’s about connection, empowerment, and growth.

As Rotary continues to evolve, so too does the way we share our work with the world. The District Public Image team is committed to supporting clubs in this journey by offering tools, guidance, and space to explore what works best for each community.

Because when we tell our story well, we inspire others to join us—and that’s how impact grows.
